METHOD OF OBTAINING RADIONUCLIDE GENERATOR OF GALLIUM-68 Russian patent published in 2008 - IPC A61K51/00 G21G4/08

SUBSTANCE: invention concerns the method of obtaining a radionuclide generator, which makes it possible to obtain gallium-68 in ionic form, including sorption of gallium-68 from the solution on the sorbent, in which one uses titanium dioxide, modified zirconium dioxide and the elution of radionuclide gallium-68 solution of diluted hydrochloric acid. The method differs in the way that the sorption of radionuclide gallium-68 is brought in a dynamic mode from the solution, in which the preset pH value is not less than 2.5. For establishing the required pH value it is possible to use at least one solution whose addition to the solution of gallium-68 chloride leads to the formation of a buffer system, for example a solution of acetate or sodium citrate. The method ensures practically the complete extraction of gallium-68 from the initial solution by carrying out sorption in a dynamic mode, is characterised by the simplicity of realisation and stability of characteristics of the obtained generator, and it also makes it possible to exclude the majority of radiation-hazardous operations.

EFFECT: it is possible to exclude the regular control of acidity of the obtained solution of the radionuclide.
