FIELD: mining.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to coal industry, namely to drilling rods for rotary drilling of bore pits in coal-and-rock massifs. Rod for rotary drilling blast holes consists of rod body, shank and lock for attachment of cutter. Body of the bar is tetrahedral with cross section in the form of astroid, the ends of which branches are rounded.
EFFECT: increased stability of the drill rod at transfer of torques to the drilling tool.
