FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to composite materials based on thermoplastic polymers filled with nanotubes and technologies for their production, and can be used for production of structural materials with increased physical and mechanical characteristics. Composite material comprises a thermoplastic polymer and single-walled carbon nanotubes with a content of at least 5% by weight, and they are distributed in the thermoplastic polymer in such a way that the value of its specific volume electrical resistance is at least 104 Om⋅cm, and difference in said resistance at a scale of 1 mm is not more than 10%. Invention also relates to a method for producing a composite material, in which a thermoplastic polymer is mixed with carbon nanotubes, so that their content in the resulting mixture is not less than 5% by weight, and this mixture is extruded at the processing temperature of the thermoplastic polymer.
EFFECT: invention solves the problem of increasing the strength characteristics of a composite material based on thermoplastic polymers and simplifying the technology of its production.
