FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering, namely to an electrode with a double electric layer and a method for production thereof, and can be used in supercondensers with a double electric layer. Active material used in the disclosed supercondenser is nanocrystalline carbon obtained by short-pulse laser processing of a polyimide film with formation of mesoporous and finely dispersed nanocrystalline graphite with specific surface area of up to 1,100 m2/g and specific capacity of up to 155 F/g. Electrodes are made on the basis of aluminum foil, into which active material is pressed after etching, wherein active electrode base is impregnated with electrolyte based on ionic liquid.

EFFECT: simple technique of making electrodes and high electrochemical characteristics of a capacitor with a double electric layer.
