FIELD: gas generators.
SUBSTANCE: solid propellant gas generator includes a housing with a front cover, an ignition tube which is partially perforated with radial holes, attached to the front cover, a throttling hole, a pyrocartridge and a solid-propellant charge placed in a sealed sectional shell. Solid-fuel charge consists of series-arranged sections with different combustion time and is arranged in igniter tube located in combustion chamber with radial clearance from combustion chamber wall. Radial holes in the ignitor tube have chamfers facing the combustion chamber wall. Throttling hole is located in the housing on the side of the butt-end tube end and has diameter not less than diameter of the radial holes of the igniter perforation.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of gas generator.
