FIELD: heating.

SUBSTANCE: present invention pertains to the design of self-contained sources of compressed gas, and particularly to low-temperature solid fuel gas generators. The pyrotechnic nitrogen-generating device has a case with a cover, put inside a combustion chamber, a cartridge of solid nitrogen source, a pyrocartridge, an igniter of the cartridge of solid nitrogen source, a cooling unit and a baffle with a delivery outlet. The cooling unit has perforated ends, forming a space filled with a coolant, and is fitted between the baffle with the delivery outlet and the combustion chamber. The cartridge of solid nitrogen source is in form of blocks with central openings, arranged coaxially with the case, with fixed gaps between them. The igniter is in form of a perforated refractory cup with a blind bottom, fitted inside the central openings of the nitrogen-generating blocks and filled with pyrotechnical tablets or solid fuel blocks, located in the gap between them. The invention increases output of the nitrogen-generating device.

EFFECT: increased output of nitrogen-generating device.
