FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to neurosurgery, and can be used in transposition of the common fibular nerve into the intermuscular space during surgical interventions on the structures of the common fibular nerve. That is ensured by standard approach to structures of lateral surface of upper third of shin. After the recognition of the cog-muscular reference points, the lateral surface of the lateral gastrocnemius muscle is accessed. Imaging with the help of a curved instrument is used to form a canal in an intermuscular space between the lateral head of the calf muscle and an soleus muscle. Distal end of the injured nerve is delivered into the intermuscular space.
EFFECT: method enables creating conditions for better regeneration, preventing repeated compression, ischemic damages at the level of the head of the fibular bone due to movement of the nerve from the zone of the most frequent development of compression-ischemic neuropathies into a well-vascularized zone.
