FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to rolling production. For this purpose actual value of strip parameters is measured after rolling process, comparing actual value of parameters with their set value and determining deviation between actual and specified values of parameters, according to which control signal is generated to control executive adjusting element, in form of an element in the form of a cooling shell corresponding to the shape of a rolling mill roll, with an adjustable effective length in the circumferential direction of the roll, and parameters of the profile or flatness are controlled by changing the effective length of the cooling cover in the circumferential direction of the roller.
EFFECT: invention can be used for adjustment of profile parameters or flatness of rolled material.
