FIELD: radio equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering, particularly to designs of radiotransparent fairings of onboard antenna systems of aircrafts operating in the range of high and ultrahigh frequencies, and can be used for protection of antenna systems from external effects. Radiotransparent fairing represents a two-layer radiotransparent shell consisting of external power and internal sealing layers. External power layer of the shell is equidistant to the surface of the aircraft and is made of microsphere glass-fiber laminate based on organosilicon binder, microspheres and quartz fabric. Inner sealing layer of the shell is a press composition based on plastic from aromatic polyamide. Layers are glued together on the whole surface by high-temperature glue. Specificity of manufacture of the proposed radiotransparent cowl allows to achieve such technical characteristics, which provide increase in efficiency and reliability of functioning of antenna system for onboard equipment of satellite navigation in conditions of aerodynamic heating of the body of the product.
EFFECT: creation of a simplified design of a radiotransparent fairing designed to protect the antenna from climatic factors, mechanical and thermal effects in harsh operating conditions, for example, at supersonic flight speeds of aircrafts, with simultaneous improvement of weight characteristics of the shell, and improvement of aerodynamic and radio technical characteristics of fairing.
