FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to friction linings and brake shoes for braking systems and, in particular, to friction linings with cooling slots. Friction pad (24) for brake shoe (22) of brake system contains solid body from friction material, having multiple slots (38a, 38b), intersecting in vortex zone (40), formed in form of circular recess in this friction pad. Slots (38a, 38b) are open in vortex zone (40) in displaced places for air circulation inside vortex zone. At least one of grooves (38a) has depth or width different from depth or width of another one groove (38b) from said set. Grooves (38a, 38b) extend along the horizontal arc, which repeats the trajectory of the point on the disc during use.
EFFECT: technical result is providing cooling effect and reducing wear, which ultimately increases service life of brake shoes.
