SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a disc brake for a commercial vehicle. Disc brake mechanism (100) with covering brake disc (2), brake caliper (1), made in form of floating caliper, which is fixed on fixed brake shield (6) and has central opening (41) above brake disc (2), includes two brake blocks (3) arranged in braking support (1), moving in opposite direction, having each bearing plate (4) and fixed on it friction pad (5), from which brake block (3) on side of action or from setting side by means of gripping device is pressed through at least one brake male die to brake disc (2), as well as at least one return device, by means of which brake caliper (1) is removed after brake-induced displacement and release of brake, note here that said return device comprises brake blocks (3) acting equally on appropriate setting direction, expanding device (8) with spring-loaded expansion elements acting on appropriate bearing plate (4) of the shoe. Expansion device is located in central opening (41), wherein expanding elements directly or indirectly act outside friction pads (5) on one side in middle zone or at least at two spaced from each other from middle braking blocks (3) adjoining area, wherein adjacency zones have each abutment surface and support surface, on which expansion elements are movably arranged.

EFFECT: use of this group of inventions improves disc brake mechanism with longer service life and reduced operating costs.
