FIELD: radiochemical industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radiochemical industry and is intended for use in process line of industrial processing of spent fuel assemblies (SFA). Separating unit for end parts SFA comprises protective plug, bracket, movable clamp, outer knives, internal knife and clamp drives and internal knife. Movable clamp is mounted on bracket, provided with pivot axis and interacts with drive by means of rod and clevis. External blades are detachable along horizontal plane and provided with slots for interaction with internal knife, one part is installed on clamp, and another one is on bracket.
EFFECT: invention provides reliable separation of end parts, high-quality cutting without formation of finely dispersed fraction of material of cut shell SFA.
