FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to particles of a procatalyst-based composition and a polymerisation method for producing impact resistant copolymers using said particles. Polymerisation method involves halogenation in the presence of substituted 1,2-phenylene aromatic diester of particles of a magnesium/titanium (MagTi) procatalyst precursor to form particles of the procatalyst-based composition with particle size D50 of 26–30 mcm. First contact of propylene monomer and optionally one or more first olefin comonomers with a catalyst-based catalyst composition in a first polymerisation reactor to form an active propylene-based polymer. Catalyst-based composition contains particles of the procatalyst-based composition. Second propylene-based polymer is secondly contacted with at least one second olefin comonomer in a second polymerisation reactor to form an impact-resistant copolymer based on propylene. Also described are particles of the composition based on a procatalyst with particle size D50 of 26–30 microns and substituted 1,2-phenylene aromatic diester.
EFFECT: polymerisation method for producing an impact-resistant copolymer enables to maintain and improve fluidity of polymer particles as the Fc of the impact resistant copolymer increases.
