FIELD: immunology.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to clinical immunology and haemostasiology and can be used to assess the degree of intravascular blood coagulation by functional activity of thrombin bound to circulating fibrin-monomer complexes in a complement activation test. Method for determining thrombin activity associated with circulating fibrin-monomer complexes in a complement activation test involves using human citrated blood plasma, adding erythrocyte suspension to ram, incubating at 37 °C for 10 minutes, measuring the optical density of the sample on a photometer for enzyme immunoassay at 620 nm, determination of thrombin activity by degree of ram erythrocyte lysis using a calibration curve, where 100 % lysis is complete lysis of ram erythrocyte with water addition, and control for spontaneous lysis – 0 % lysis, with lysis more than 10 % ascertaining high thrombin activity of blood plasma.

EFFECT: disclosed is determination of circulating thrombin in complement activation test.
