SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and can be used for conversion of AC into DC. In the rectifier there used is a switch changing configuration of connection of rectifying bridges. Two diode bridges (3, 4) connected in parallel to the poles are connected to the ends and windings of valve windings (2), respectively. There is switch-closing device (7) connecting ends of windings (2).

EFFECT: providing simplification.
