FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing photocatalytic titanium dioxide doped with scandium, which, in particular, can be used in production of photocatalysts for decomposition of persistent organic pollutants during water treatment. Disclosed method comprises mixing tetrabutoxytitanium and scandium-containing solution with subsequent washing with distilled water and drying, wherein the scandium-containing solution used is 8–10 % aqueous sodium bicarbonate solution containing 1.0–3.0 g/l of scandium, with volume ratio of tetrabutoxytitanium and 8–10 % aqueous sodium bicarbonate solution of 3.5:10.0; is held at temperature of 85–90 °C for 1–3 hours and drying at temperature of 120–150 °C.
EFFECT: technical result is obtaining high catalytic properties of end product.
