FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: method for producing a photocatalyst based on a triple nano-heterostructural system of CdS-WO3-TiO2 with the formation of 3D-structures based on titanium dioxide is carried out only by electrochemical method in electrolytes of various composition: when anodizing during the growth of nanotubes from titanium dioxide on a substrate of titanium foil in an electrolyte that is prepared from ammonium fluoride, distilled water and ethylene glycol, the second phase inclusions of tungsten oxide (VI) are created from metallic tungsten previously electrochemically reduced from a solution of sodium tungstate in dimethylformamide and formamide. Subsequent one-stage electrochemical deposition of cadmium sulfide into the resulting WO3-TiO2 is carried out in an aqueous solution of CdSO4 and Na2S2O4 with pH=7. Thus, by varying the conditions for conducting electrochemical processes, a nanoscale heterostructural system of CdS-WO3-TiO2 of high purity with the given parameters is produced, namely, the layer thickness of the nanotube array of titanium dioxide, the diameter and length of the nanotubes of titanium dioxide, the particle size of the semiconductors of tungsten (VI) oxide and cadmium sulfide.
EFFECT: possibility of producing a photocatalyst based on a triple nano-heterostructural system with a variable distribution of the component composition, the particle sizes of narrow-band semiconductors, the diameter and length of nanotubes on a titanium foil substrate, simplification of the process and reduced labour costs in producing this high purity system.
