FIELD: fire safety.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fire safety of buildings, in particular, can be used in making structural fire protection of cast-iron tower support. Thickness of fire protection layer is predetermined taking into account thermophysical properties of its materials, heating conditions of cast iron support elements in case of fire and standard limit of fire resistance of building support.
EFFECT: higher reliability of attachment of support elements and structural fire protection, high fire-resistance of cast-iron support, reduced risk of explosive destruction of cast-iron support in initial stage of fire.
