FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of industry for extraction and processing of natural rubber and other components from vegetable material. Method of extraction of resin and rubber from guayule plants includes: a) harvesting guayule plants; b) removing leaves from said plants; c) preserving the ancestral plants in a medium with controlled temperature and relative humidity for period of 7 to 21 days so as to maintain residual moisture content in plant at 20 %; d) grinding said depersonalised plants to produce plant material containing plant fragments with average size of less than 2 mm; e) dispersing said plant material in a polar solvent system containing at least one polar organic solvent and at least one antioxidant to obtain a suspension; f) filtering/squeezing the obtained suspension from step "e" to separate first miscella containing said resin from first bagasse; g) removing at least one polar organic solvent from said first miscella to produce concentrated resin; h) removing at least one polar organic solvent from the first bagasse obtained at step "f"; i) dispersing said first bagasse, from which a solvent obtained at step "h" is removed, in a nonpolar solvent system containing at least one nonpolar solvent and at least one antioxidant to obtain a suspension; j) filtering/wringing said suspension obtained at stage "i" to separate second miscella containing said rubber from second bagasse; k) removing at least one non-polar organic solvent from said second miscella to obtain rubber in solid state; l) removing at least one non-polar solvent from second bagasse obtained at step "j". Invention also relates to guayule rubber obtained using said method.

EFFECT: when implementing the method according to the invention, rubber is obtained with high output and higher quality characteristics.
