FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a method of extracting at least one isoprene component from guayule resin and/or guayule-like plant, involving the following steps: a) providing defatted resin from guayule and/or guayule-like plant; b) exposing said defatted resin to liquid-liquid type fractions with solvents which are not miscible with each other, thereby obtaining a non-polar extract containing isobrene components of guayulin A, guayulin B and argentatin B:

and a polar extract containing isoprene components argentatin A, argentatin C and argentatin D:

c) separating at least one isoprene component from said polar extract and / or said nonpolar extract obtained in this way, wherein step c) comprises a step where said polar extract is divided into liquid-liquid fractions with solvents that are not miscible with each other and/or a step where said non-polar extract is divided into liquid-solid phase fractions.

EFFECT: technical result is possibility of providing a more practical, inexpensive, easily adaptable scalable and high output method with respect to separation of isopropene components from guayule plant resin, in particular guayulin A, guayulin B, argentatin A, argentatin B, argentatin C and/or argentatin D.
