FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an integrated method of processing and use of each part of guayule (Parthenium argentatum), including residual parts, for the purpose of producing not only natural rubber, but also compounds which can be used in the power industry and in the production of chemicals. Method comprises following steps in order: separation of stem and branches from leaves of said plant by mechanical treatment; treatment of leaves, in which waxes and essential oils are produced, as well as a fraction containing cellulose, hemicellulose (carbohydrates) and, to a lesser degree, salts, organic compounds and lignin; extraction from barrel and branches of liquid phase; treatment of said first solid wood residue, as a result of which sugar, resin, rubber and lignin are produced. As a result of extraction, the first solid wood residue is formed, called bagasse.
EFFECT: invention allows to use all components of guayule plant and further, after extraction process, obtain waxes and essential oils which are used to produce resin and lignin.
