FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to treatment of chlorination residues during production of titanium tetrachloride in molten salts for their repeated use. Chlorination residues are leached to produce a suspension, after which the suspension is filtered to obtain a liquid from leaching and residues from leaching. Fluid is mixed with leaching with brine flow having strong oxidative and alkali properties, obtained during purification of residual gas formed during chlorination in molten salts, or with liquid wastes obtained during absorption of residual gas obtained during chlor-alkali chemical treatment, in volume ratio 1:0.6–0.9, and filtered after complete completion of reaction to obtain oxidized precipitate after filtration and high-quality saline solution. Oxidized precipitate is washed after filtration with water to obtain ferromanganese slag. Method comprises fractional crystallization of a high-quality salt solution to obtain NaCl and MgCl2⋅6H2O.

EFFECT: higher environmental friendliness of chlorination residues in melt of salts with reduced consumption of materials.
