FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to magnetic-abrasive processing of machine-building products, in particular, to processing edges of articles before welding. Proposed method comprises simultaneous processing of end and side surfaces of article edge at reciprocation in magnetic-abrasive mass formed by two synchronously rotating pole tips relative to two lateral surfaces of article edge. In addition, the third pole tip is used, which is set synchronously rotary movement relative to end surface of article edge in plane perpendicular to planes of two synchronously rotating pole tips. Latter are located relative to two lateral surfaces at the same level as intersection of planes of the end surface and side surfaces of the article edge.

EFFECT: as a result, uniform, simultaneous and defect-free treatment of article edge before welding.
