FIELD: magnetic abrasive processing of engineering products.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to processing of external and internal threaded surfaces of products. The method includes processing the threaded surfaces of the product in a magnetic-abrasive mass, installing a drill rod between the pole pieces of a magnetic system of opposite polarity, filling the working gaps with magnetic-abrasive powder and setting the relative movement of the rotating drill rod and the pole pieces. When processing the outer threaded surface, the pole pieces are installed parallel to the angle of the thread and set to rotational movement while simultaneously synchronizing their translational and oscillatory movements with the translational movement of the drill rod. When processing the internal threaded surface, the pole pieces are installed parallel to the axis of the drill rod. A conical tip is installed in the internal space with an offset relative to its own axis and the axis of the drill rod. The conical tip is given a rotational movement with eccentricity and simultaneous synchronization of its translational motion with the translational motion of the drill rod.

EFFECT: uniform processing of threaded surfaces is ensured, quality is improved.
