FIELD: materials processing.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the processing of materials by cutting and can be used in magnetic abrasive processing of the edges of products. In magnetic abrasive processing of the edge of the product, three synchronously rotating pole pieces are used, two of which are located relative to the side surfaces and one relative to the end surface of the edge of the product. Two pole pieces, processing the side surfaces of the edge of the product, are set to rotate in opposite directions. The third pole piece is set to rotate from the condition that in the first area of intersection of the end and side surfaces of the edge of the product and in the second area of intersection of the end and side surfaces of the edge of the product, the magnetic-abrasive effect is provided by the counter movement of the end and side pole pieces.

EFFECT: invention provides uniform material removal in these areas and forms the symmetry of the geometric shape of one corner of the edge relative to the other.
