FIELD: aviation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to magnetic-abrasive processing and can be used in aviation production when processing edges of rolled aluminium materials, in particular, before the process of riveting and precise assembly of aircraft hull elements. Three synchronously rotating pole pieces are used, which are located on the side of the side surfaces and one tip on the side of the end surface of the product edge. Carry out complex processing of all surfaces of the edge of sheet metal. Sequential processing covers the stages of roughing with the setting of a working gap in the range from 2 to 3 mm and finishing with the establishment of a working gap in the range of 4 to 5 mm within the same process transition.
EFFECT: achievement of the specified quality parameters of the surface layer and increased productivity of processing.
