METHOD OF INCREASING BROADBANDNESS OF TRANSCEIVING MODULE OF PHASED ANTENNA ARRAY USING SIGNAL GENERATION THROUGH DIRECT DIGITAL SYNTHESIS, AND EMBODIMENTS THEREOF Russian patent published in 2010 - IPC H01Q3/26

Abstract RU 2392704 C1

FIELD: physics, radio.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radiolocation, particularly to transceiving modules (TM) of an active phased antenna array, controlled on direction of radiation and reception, and on modulation parametres of the probing signal working as component of a pulse-doppler onboard radar (OBR). The method involves programming of intra-period modulation and the initial phase of the continuous signal of a generator with adjustable phase, operating on direct digital synthesis (GDDS), successive shift of the GDDS signal by coherent standard frequency and multiplication of the frequency of the received signal to an integer k times until attaining the required carrier, cutting microwave pulses with require duration from the synthesised signal, power amplification and using on the antenna array (AA) element as a probing element. A heterodyne signal is generated in a way similar to generation of the synthesised signal at carrier frequency due to programming the frequency and initial phase of a second GDDS on the modulation period of the probing signal, shifting the second GDDS signal by the same coherent standard frequency and multiplication of the frequency of the received signal to an integer k times.

EFFECT: increased broadbandness of a phase antenna array using generators with adjustable phase, operating on direct digital synthesis as a component of transceiving modules.
