FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical equipment, specifically to a device for dispensing powder into a nasal cavity or oral cavity of a human or animal and versions of methods of using the device. Device comprises a dispensing mechanism in the form of a channel device having a channel with a first end and a second opposite blind end. Hollow linear channel has an inlet hole located at a distance from the blind end to pass the powder into a single hollow channel. Device includes an outlet hole on the first end of one integral linear hollow channel for dispensing of powder from it, content inside one integral linear hollow channel, during use, during dispensing by dispensing device. Integral hollow channel is provided between inlet opening and outlet opening to move powder between inlet and outlet. In one hollow linear channel there are inlet openings. Inlet holes are located at the same height and/or distance from the first and/or the second end of one integral linear hollow channel. Second opposite blind end forms recess on one integral linear hollow channel. Dimensions of said recess define preset amount of powder, which can be delivered through outlet hole at each dispensing operation by device. Inlet formed in dispensing means is made so and/or has dimensions such that excess powder contained in one integral linear hollow channel that can not fit into recess, can be passed through said inlet opening and/or said at least one hole and from one integral linear hollow channel, when used, before dispensing product from outlet. Device has a deformable container accommodating a metering mechanism. Dosing device is designed so that deformation of container as a result of user clamping one or more sides of container provides movement of air or gas contained inside container through at least one inlet hole, one solid hollow channel and outlet hole. When pushed air passes the recess in one integral linear hollow channel, it carries away with itself and removes powder contained inside the recess from the outlet hole.
EFFECT: technical result is creation of a dosing device, through which it is possible to accurately and reproducibly deliver and/or dose a given amount of product or a metered dose.
