SUBSTANCE: beverage dispensing unit is described, comprising a dispenser and a container for a beverage, moreover, the container for a beverage has a neck and a shoulder near the neck, and the neck of the container contains at least an outlet and at least one inlet for gas, and, moreover, the dispenser comprises a casing, the casing comprising a receiving part for receiving a part of the container, the container being located in the dispenser, in such a way that a section of the container is placed in the receiving part, the section having a part that extends adjacent to the wall of the receiving part and/or is in contact with the wall of the receiving part, and the casing contains a cooling device for cooling at least part of the wall of the receiving part, for contact cooling of a part of at least the arm of the container, and the cover is located above the container, surrounding the part of the container extending to the outer side of the receiving part, wherein the lid is transparent, at least to such an extent that at least a significant part of the container passes through leading to the outer side of the receiving part, is visible through the said cover.
