FIELD: household appliances.
SUBSTANCE: preferred field of use is domestic devices for dosing dishwashing detergents, fabric conditioners and the like. Proposed is an apparatus and a method for expelling doses of liquid, the viscosity of which is reduced while increasing the shear rate and is from 1 MPa⋅s to 350 MPa⋅s, measured at 1,000 s-1 at 20 °C. Apparatus contains a container, cap, having a nozzle for expelling the liquid, a dosing chamber comprising a base having a discharge opening therein, side walls, extending upwardly along the perimeter of said base and an inlet opening located proximal the side walls. Apparatus also contains a timer aperture, located proximal to the discharge opening, plunger, moveable relative to the chamber so as to advance upon squeezing of the container, up to a blocking position, as well as a valve movable from an open position, allowing liquid flow through the discharge opening, and a closed position, where the valve blocks the discharge opening. Wherein the ratio of total area of the inlet opening to the total area of the timer aperture is approximately from 2 to 25.
EFFECT: technical result is a simple, efficient in use and compact apparatus and a method ensuring multiple expelling of controlled doses, with improved drainage of the dosing chamber to prevent drop influx after dosing.
