FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, namely to titanium α alloys intended for use as structural high-tech heat-conducting material for energy power and heat-exchange plants, aircraft and space equipment, long-term operating at temperatures from -100 °C to 450 °C. Titanium-based alloy contains, wt.%: zirconium 20–22, oxygen 0.04–0.09, aluminum 0.001–0.01, silicon ≤0.005, iron ≤0.05, chromium ≤0.002, nickel ≤0.003, carbon ≤0.01, nitrogen ≤0.005, hydrogen ≤0.003; titanium – the rest.
EFFECT: physical and mechanical characteristics of alloy at temperature 20 °C are as follows: σv=530–550 MPa, σ0,2=400–430 MPa, δ≥30 %, alloy heat conductivity 15 W/(m·K).
