FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to separation of dry fiber composite fabric with multiple fabric layers arranged one above another. Dry fiber composite fabric is separated by means of a separating device. Separating device comprises separating element with toothed rim, having wave profile with multiple teeth. Separation is performed by translational movement of toothed rim in dry fiber composite fabric with displacement that is greater than distance between tops of two neighboring teeth of toothed rim.
EFFECT: improved quality of cutting surfaces and reduced cost of separation.
