FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: present invention proposes a method of measuring liquid flow rate in a separate section of a liquid supply network, where the latter is a network of pipes supplying liquid to consumers. Network of pipes includes at least one main pipe for transfer of liquid from source to supply network, wherein main pipe crosses boundary between separate section and further section of network located outside separate section, and plurality of distribution pipes, wherein each of them is intended for transportation of liquid from main pipe to consumer, hydraulically connected to distributing pipe. Several key measurement points are located on distributing pipes. Each of them includes a pressure sensor and a flow meter. In this configuration, each pressure sensor can measure liquid pressure (P1, P2) in distributing pipe (5, 13), where it is installed. At that, each flow meter is designed for measurement of liquid flow rate (q1, q2) by consumers, which are hydraulically connected to distributing pipe. According to disclosed method, at steps a) and b) liquid pressure (P1, P2) and its flow rate (q1, q2) in at least two selected key measurement points, which are located within and outside a separate section. When measuring pressure (P1, P2) and flow rate (q1, q2) in the selected control points data flow of liquid in the main pipe (Qi), which crosses boundary of separate section, is calculated at stage c) of this method.
EFFECT: technical result is possibility of liquid flow rate measurement in main pipe without meter-flow meter installed on it.
