FIELD: engineering mechanics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of engineering mechanics and can be used to determine the center of gravity and weight of solid bodies. In method body is installed along its longitudinal axis on measuring and supporting supports, body pressure is measured on measuring support, then position of supporting support is changed along longitudinal body axis, pressure of body is repeatedly measured on measuring support and results of both measurements calculate weight and coordinates of center of gravity of body, and the supporting support position is changed by moving the body along its axis, wherein the predetermined distance between the supports is maintained. At that, at first, the body is moved along its axis to the maximum possible positive distance, for example to the left relative to the initial position taken as zero, thus performing even number of body pressure measurements on the measuring support, and then body is returned to received initial position and moved along its axis to maximum possible distance to right relative to initial position, taken as zero, also performing even number of body pressure measurements on measuring support, and results of both series of measurements are used to calculate weight and coordinates of body center of gravity.
EFFECT: high accuracy of determining weight and coordinates of the center of gravity of bodies when realizing the method.
