FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: as the object of measurement, an airplane is mounted on measuring and suspension supports. Pressure of the airplane on the measuring support is measured and the position of the supports is then changed. The position of the supports is changed by moving the airplane on a bearing platform which inclines to the horizontal and a horizontal measuring platform which is fitted with a unit of weight-measuring sensors under pressure from the front chassis which is the measuring support and the rear chassis which is the suspension support. Pressure of the airplane on the measuring support is measured a given number of times. The weight and coordinates of the centre of gravity of the plane are determined from the measurement results, each time of measurement taking into account the position angle of the longitudinal axis of the airplane relative the horizontal and displacement of the measuring support relative the point where the horizontal measuring platform touches the inclined bearing platform.

EFFECT: simple and cheap method, higher measurement accuracy.
