FIELD: radar ranging and radio navigation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radar ranging and can be used in radio systems of continuous radiation installed on mobile objects to obtain radar image (RI) in the process of remote sensing of the earth (water) surface. Method of forming detailed radar images in a radar station with a synthetic antenna aperture consists in probing an earth (water) surface, receiving, digitizing, interpolating and compressing by the range of reflected signals, formation of a two-dimensional range portrait of the viewing area by line-by-line memorizing during the time of synthesis of apertures compressed in range in each period of probing signals, generating samples of trajectory signal samples from the formed two-dimensional range portrait in accordance with the laws of migration of point reflectors for each complex count of the generated radar image, calculating values of each complex count of the radar image by demodulating signals of formed samples with subsequent summation of their samples, at that phase hopping of signals of each sample is compensated for by multiplication with correction signal.
EFFECT: reduced required amount of computer memory and time of radar image forming.
