FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture, in particular to methods for growing seedlings from seeds of flowering plants in self-contained devices with subsurface irrigation and root feeding. Method envisages growing plants on substrates with water supply in automatic mode filled through a closed tray of each container unit. Irrigation system is made of sections of perforated polyethylene tube, on top of which there is a weakly watertight filter made of geotextile material along the perimeter of container shape. Plastic grid with small cells is fixed from above. Substrate is poured and the seeds are inoculated. Sections of perforated tubes with ball valves are connected to watering hose connected to pressure water source – heated water pipeline. Additional container – soil controller is filled with the same substrate as for seeds sowing, but without seeds, the soil moisture sensor is equipped. Transfer of readings through communication is transmitted to a personal computer at saturation with soil moisture in an additional container. Additional container is hydraulically connected to the water source and soil of seeded containers. Discharge ball valve is installed in the end part of the last container. Temperature of heat-insulating mats laid under the bottom of each container is adjusted.
EFFECT: method provides higher efficiency of soil moistening in accordance with specified mode and acceleration of plants development.
