FIELD: physics, navigation.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in radar stations when scanning the above-the-horizon radar region of a search space, characterised by interfering re-reflections on a radar station from extended interference-generating formations of different types distributed on the range. The set task is solved by that at the end of each cycle of blanking received echo signals over the time of emitting the next pulsed probing signal on the inter-pulse period of repetition thereof, the echo signals are subjected to intra-period multi-window weight processing, thereby smoothing (rounding) linearly broken deformations of the envelope of blanking interfering echo signals regardless of the delay time thereof.
EFFECT: longer range of effective noise elimination in conditions where a radar station is exposed to passive jamming of different origins virtually independent of the location of the interfering formations on the probing distance of the radar station by lowering the level of blanking interference on the radar receiver, wherein it is possible to minimise the level of side lobes of the spectrum of blanked interfering echo signals in the target echo signal search area to a level which is detectable with commonly used regular pulse sequences.
