SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods and systems for controlling vehicle speed. Vehicle speed control method comprises the steps whereat the response to the electric signal is set to the vehicle speed limit equal to the first threshold value. In response to the presence of rain in the area of the vehicle and to obtain an electrical signal, the vehicle speed limit is set equal to the second threshold value, which is less than the first threshold value, and maintaining vehicle speed below vehicle speed limit and warning vehicle driver about preset speed limit of vehicle. Vehicle speed control system comprises ventilated cowl comprising one ventilation hole, switch, wherein the switch is configured to generate an electrical signal indicative of the presence of a water drain duct, a motor and an engine controller, comprising instructions for executing the method stored in memory.
EFFECT: required level of engine cooling is achieved.
