SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in internal combustion engine control systems. Claimed invention discloses the methods and system for detection of deterioration in operation of temperature gage of the fuel distributor guide. In compliance with this invention, proposed method is realized stepwise. First, gas fuel is fed into the cylinder in response to the signals of temperature gage of the fuel distributor guide. During the selected conditions, the deterioration in operation of temperature gage of the fuel distributor guide is indicated proceeding from the difference between the measured aforesaid temperature and expected temperature.
EFFECT: measured temperature can be related with the other temperatures of the engine that can deteriorate the temperature gage temperature.
