FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to thermal treatment of powder workpiece of part containing titanium-based alloy. Method includes thermal treatment of a workpiece placed on a tray in a furnace at a specified temperature. Tray is made of titanium-based alloy, in which the titanium content is more than or equal to 45 %, or zirconium-based alloy, in which the zirconium content exceeds or equals 95 %. Tray material has a melting point exceeding the predetermined heat treatment temperature. Antidiffusion barrier is placed between the workpiece and the tray to prevent welding of the workpiece with the tray.

EFFECT: reduced contamination of the workpiece with oxygen due to its absorption by the tray.
