FIELD: coal production.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method and device for determination of absolute position of coal mining machine (combine in borehole bottom) as part of three-component mining complex consisting of combine, scraper and hydraulic support. Method implementing device for determining absolute position of coal mining machine consists of stages characterizing determination of counted point using platform-free inertial navigation module, determination of position of laser point by means of laser emitter and intelligent module of tacheometer, then, asynchronous reduction of two determination results is carried out using an optimum estimation algorithm to obtain accurate absolute position of the machine. In the present invention, for asynchronous reduction of two types of navigation data, an optimum estimation algorithm is used, in particular a Kalman filter, which enables to obtain more accurate data on the absolute position of the cutter.
EFFECT: technical result is increase in the combine operating accuracy, reliability and automation.
