FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a device for controlling the height of an automatic mining machine based on determination of seismic vibrations of a mining machine and method of such adjustment. Device consists of a device for collecting signals from the side of the combine, a device for collecting signals from the side of the working face and an altitude adjustment module. Device for signals collection from combine side receives signals from seaworthy machine about seismic vibrations and calculates absolute parameters of combine positioning in coordinate system of mine and geographical coordinates of central points of top and bottom rollers of combine. Device for collection of signals on the side of mining face receives signal on seismic vibrations, sent by machine, and calculates absolute parameters of positioning of housing in shaft coordinate system. Height adjustment module includes onboard system, which is connected with other onboard system, as well as with strapdown inertial navigation module. On-board system stores and processes signals of seismic vibrations of combine, absolute parameters of combine positioning in mine shaft coordinate system and absolute parameters of body positioning in mine shaft coordinate system, constructs a wave velocity model in transverse and longitudinal sections and a three-dimensional seismic section at a short distance from the mining face and constantly updates the three-dimensional geological model of the working face for the next cutting cycle for automatic adjustment of the height of the upper and lower rollers of the combine.

EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of reliability and accuracy of automatic mining machine height adjustment.
