SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in the internal combustion engines. Method of engine braking for supercharging internal combustion engine with turbo-supercharger operating on exhaust gases. Turbo-supercharger is made in the form of a turbocharger supported by an electric motor. Adjustment of required braking power (MA) of engine is performed by acceleration and/or braking of turbo-supercharger rotor. Required braking power of the engine is created by an actuating element located in the driver's cabin. Turbo-supercharger rotor acceleration is performed by means of electromotive mode (S4) of turbo-supercharger to increase engine braking power if required engine braking power (MA) exceeds preset first threshold value. Braking of rotor of turbo-supercharger is performed by means of generator mode (S5) of turbo-supercharger in order to reduce braking power of engine, if required braking power (MA) of engine is below specified second threshold value. Disclosed are a device for modulating brake power of a car engine and a vehicle.
EFFECT: technical result consists in providing accurate modulation of braking power and increasing braking power of vehicle.
