FIELD: textile.
SUBSTANCE: hose includes braided, tubular wall with opposite free edges elongated in longitudinal direction between opposite ends. Wall has a first state with a reduced length, a larger cross-section area and a second state with an increased length, a smaller cross-sectional area, when considering a cross-section which is usually perpendicular to the central longitudinal axis. Wall additionally includes braided, heat-stabilized threads, which give an inclination to the wall, where the inclination causes self-coiling of the wall into the tubular configuration and the fact that it remains essentially in the first and second state at absence of some applied external force.
EFFECT: provided self-wrapping protective textile sleeve and method of its production.
