SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to an oral care composition and a method of using it. Disclosed is an oral care composition containing: zinc phosphate, wherein zinc phosphate is added to an oral care composition in form of a pre-formed salt; and wherein amount of zinc phosphate is approximately 1 % by weight relative to weight of composition; and a silicate compound containing a metal element which in a cationic form is capable of reducing the intensity of tooth enamel erosion, and where silicate compound is calcium silicate, and amount of calcium silicate is approximately 3 % by weight relative to weight of composition. Composition can additionally contain an effective amount of a source of fluoride ions. Also presented is a method of treating or reducing the intensity of dental enamel erosion involving administering the above composition into the oral cavity of a subject in need thereof.
