SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a footrest for a vehicle chair, in particular, to a position adjustment device, which is used for a vehicle chair footrest. Position adjustment device for adjusting the height of the module mounted on the guide rod comprises an adjoining element that adjoins the external circular surface of the guide bar, and a clamping element that presses the adjoining element. Adjacent element comprises a first abutting plate abutting an outer circumferential surface of the guide bar, a second abutting plate connected to the first abutting plate, a resilient member disposed between the first abutting plate and the second abutting plate, and a contact member disposed between the first abutting plate and the second abutting plate for accommodating a resilient member. Contact element is in contact with external circular surface of the guide rod through the contact hole made in the first adjoining plate.

EFFECT: increased safety during operation.
