FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to an adhesive composition, as well as to a method of binding two substrates to produce a glued article. Said adhesive composition contains one or more polyisocyanates and one or more polyols with phosphate functional groups and with urethane bonds. Binding method involves steps of applying a layer of said composition onto one of said substrates, contacting said layer of the composition with a second substrate and curing or curing of the adhesive composition.

EFFECT: obtained adhesive composition contains a phosphate-functional adhesion promoter obtained without use of diglycidyl ether, and can be used to produce food packaging.
