FIELD: ecology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to removal of radioactive contaminants from natural waters, namely, separation of technogenic tritium from water contaminated with it. Method involves adding anhydrous calcium peroxide into contaminated water, uniform distribution thereof over the volume of water until precipitation of calcium peroxide octahydrate. Further, the tritium water is separated from the formed precipitate which is protium water.

EFFECT: simple and cost-effective method of processing large volumes of water contaminated with tritium.
