FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a method for producing dressed carbon fibers and to composite materials based thereon, intended as structural polymer materials in additive technologies. Composite materials contain a polymer matrix based on polyetherimide and dressed carbon fiber. Method of producing dressed carbon fibers involves dressing carbon fiber by applying a dressing composition from a solution with subsequent drying. Coupling agent is applied from the solution with a mass fraction of 0.4 % in organic volatile solvents and stepped temperature is increased with simultaneous distillation of the solvent according to the following conditions: 45 °C – 20 minutes; 55 °C – 20 minutes; 65 °C – 20 minutes; 70 °C is 30 minutes; 80 °C is 30 minutes. Quantitative ratio of components is, wt%: carbon fiber – 97.5; diphenylol propane – 2.46÷2.08; 2,4,6-tris(dimethylaminomethyl)phenol – 0.04÷0.42.

EFFECT: invention increases wettability of the filler and increases interaction between the filler and the polyether imide matrix.
